Kenya

This summer, a team from University Place Presbyterian Church will travel to Meru, Kenya, continuing a 23 year partnership with local communities. This will be our seventh trip, focused on strengthening relationships and supporting long term ministry.

Through our partnership with Cherish Ministry to Meru, UPPC helps provide educational sponsorships and school lunch programs for children in Meru and Laikipia. Our Kenyan partners faithfully administer these programs and remain closely connected to the needs of their communities.

During this two week visit, our team will:

• Visit sponsored children and their families
• Encourage local ministry leaders
• Support an annual seminar for students and families
• Visit schools participating in the lunch program

The estimated cost of the trip is approximately $4,000 per person. Team members hope to raise half of their trip cost through donation.
